PURPOSE
-------
Live Tabs was a project started shortly after the release of Windows Vista
that utilises the functionality of the DWM to provide live previews of
open windows.

This release of Live Tabs is a prototype proof-of-concept release that
shows the core feature of the application and nothing else. There is a
known problem in that the text on the buttons and dropdown menu are not
wholly readable.

USAGE
-----
Before of the visual problem with the buttons, there are, from left-to-right,
as follows:

  Window Dropdown
This menu contains a list of currently-open windows. Select the window
you want to create a live preview of here.

  Add
Once a window has been selected, click Add to add it to the canvas area.

  Remove
    Not enabled.

  About
    Displays application information.

There is no practical limit to the number of live previews that can be
shown at once. Previews can be moved around the canvas window by holding
down the mouse button on them and moving.

UPGRADING
---------
To upgrade your current installation to a newer version, simply delete the
Live Tabs directory and extract the new version's archive to a location
of your choice.

REMOVING
--------
To remove Live Tabs from your system, just quit the application and
delete the Live Tabs directory. Live Tabs does not store any settings
or data anywhere on your system.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING
----------------
If you get an error when you start Live Tabs, you will
need to download the Microsoft .NET runtimes package (22MB).
Please beware of wordwrap in the URL:

  64-BIT - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b44a0000-acf8-4fa1-affb-40e78d788b00&DisplayLang=en

In the future, a significant portion of applications written
for Windows will use the .NET runtimes, so it is a good idea
to download it now to save hassle later.
