Prism
Prism is a real attempt at a sequel to JOS in that it is based on a true programming language and directly targets the Microsoft .NET framework. A full integrated developers environment is provided. Language errors are highlighted in realtime as you type due to an intelligent low priority background compiler thread that tests your code while you work.
